We Fit Moms San Fernando Valley is a fitness team that meets on Saturday mornings. Since 2011, we've been running, hiking, training for triathlons, and helping our community through charity and volunteering. Try a Tri with us this summer as we run, bike, and swim in training for the Pasadena Triathlon!

*we divide our year into four seasons that last approximately 3 months each
We meet in a different location every Saturday throughout the San Fernando Valley (and occasionally Conejo Valley). All of our bike rides will be on bike paths or dedicated bike lanes, and our swims will be at pools with lanes dedicated to our group.
Our team is for women of all fitness levels.
Beginners are welcome, but we do ask that you have basic swim and bike skills (and have access to a bike and helmet) before joining the group.
Workouts are not appropriate for children or strollers.
We meet Saturdays at 7:30am and after a quick warm up, we'll do a swim, bike, or run workout (sometimes more than one) led by experienced coaches. Along the way we'll also teach you about recommended triathlon clothing, nutrition, bike safety, how to transition and setup a transition area, and much more!
Our culminating event is the Pasadena Triathlon, and while it is optional, it's highly encouraged! The Pasadena Triathlon is a fantastic race for new triathletes with its flat bike and run courses and short pool swim. Distances are 5K Run, 15K Bike, and 250 meter pool swim. They even have a Kids Tri for children 5-10 years old!
Full Season is $195 for 13 weeks
6 Class Passes (must be used by August 28) - $120

ABOUT COACH KAREN:
Karen coaches our San Fernando Valley Team. She joined We Fit Moms in early 2011 to assist with training and organizing the team and then founded the Encino Team in 2012. Karen started running in 7th grade when she didn't make the cheerleading squad or volleyball team and discovered that cross country was the only sport that didn't have tryouts. She has run competitively for over 20 years. She’s has completed 2 half ironman races, and run in numerous marathons including Boston in 2002 (3:41), half-marathons, and triathlons. She was a Pace Leader for the Chicago Marathon and has worked in Marketing and PR for the Chicago Marathon, Los Angeles Marathon, Students Run LA. She is currently the assistant coach for her son's cross country team - passing on her love of running to the next generation.
