New year's resolutions aren't new but this year we're extra ready for something to kick us out of our rut.  We Fit Moms is serving up four fun and simple four-week challenges to start 2021 off on the right foot. Anyone can join in and there's NO cost. Challenges start Monday, January 4 (though you can start any Monday in January that works for you).

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE:
1) Read about the challenges below
2) Click on the button to register with your name and email
yes, you can do all the challenges but starting with one may be more manageable
3) Look for an email from We Fit Moms on Jan 1 with details - we'll have tips, a printable activity log, and even some on-demand videos to guide your fitness
4) Each Sunday, log your activity on our simple tracking form
5) At the end of the 4 week challenge celebrate your success and brag! 
We'll mail* you a Vinyl Sticker to add to your favorite water bottle or bulletin board - it's like a gold star for moms!

* Giving us your address is totally optional but it's the only way we can send your vinyl sticker. We will NEVER sell or share your address with anyone outside our organization or mail you random junk (we hate that too). 

CHALLENGE 1: MOVE FOR 15 MINUTES A DAY

Only 15 minutes a day for 4 weeks?  Yup, it sounds simple and that's the point....

New Year's Resolutions and Challenges usually start off great but by the second week we're often overwhelmed. 15 minutes a day is manageable and sustainable - even on the busiest mom-days - and that bite-sized commitment helps you stick to it! And hey, you're not limited to 15 minutes - you're committing to at least 15 minutes a day. 

New to working out or have an infrequent exercise schedule?  Add some structure by committing to simple daily activities like walking, stretching, or light weights. Just commit to move. Got a well-established group fitness class or run routine,  we don't want you to change that but adding 15 minutes a day of cross-training, stretching, or foam rolling can shake things up.

CHALLENGE 2: WALK/RUN 50 OR 100 MILES

The idea of walking or running 50 or 100 miles in 4 weeks looks like a HUGE number but let's break it down:

50 miles means 12.5 miles a week, which is less than 2 miles a day*
100 miles means 25 miles a week, which is just about 3.5 miles a day* 

*Running or walking routines are best when done with consistent, gradually increasing mileage, and rest days, so when you sign up for this challenge you will be able to download a training plan to follow.  Beginners are encouraged to start with the 50 mile challenge. Those who want to sign up for 100 miles should already be comfortably running at least 15 miles a week.

CHALLENGE 3: HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES

Working from home, stress, and the holidays may have sent your eating habits into a tailspin. Let's reset. This challenge is broken down into four suggested weekly goals to keep it interesting and attainable - you can choose to do them in any order. Do all four or just pick the options that work for you. 

Week 1: Eat More Vegetables 
Week 2: Hydrate 
Week 3:  Kick the Sugar Habit 
Week 4: Eat Mindfully 

When you choose this challenge you'll receive tips for making these goals a reality.

CHALLENGE 4: CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

Not all resolutions fit into the exercise and diet box. Maybe you want to read more books, take more naps, spend less time on screens, practice random acts of kindness, or tell a joke every day. Define your own goals and let us help you stay on track.
