PE @ Home

Games and Activities for Pods (up to 6 kids)


Coaches Karen and Lucie set up games and activities in your backyard. Activities develop strength, coordination, and cardiovascular health and are customized for younger children or teens while parents and guardians either focus on their own work or join in the fun. Sessions are 45 minute and can accommodate up to six children (depending on ages and available space).


We have a huge collection of portable games and equipment that allow children to practice balance, hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, and friendly competition.


SAMPLE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:



  • Strength and fitness circuits 
  • Hula hoop games
  • Throwing games like bean bag toss, catch, or basketball
  • Kicking games such as soccer skills
  • Bubble play
  • Net games like Koosh ball tennis or beach ball volley
  • Obstacle courses

  • Foam building and climbing blocks
  • Ping Pong 
  • Running/relay courses
  • Nature hikes
  • Scavenger hunts 
  • Playground games like red light/green light & freeze dance

PE @ the Park

Pop-Up Small Group Fitness Classes in November and December



We're setting up 45 minute PE style classes for children who need to get moving!! Games, drills, and skill-builders in a socially distanced format.



UPCOMING CLASSES:



Tuesdays at 4pm

Tarzana Park

Kids in 1st - 5th Grade

(exact location and details will be emailed to participants once registered)



Cost:

November (1 weeks) - $20

December (5 weeks) - $100

November and December (6 weeks, get one week free) - $100

Waitlist:

Space is limited and classes must be paid for at time of registration. If the class is full but you would like to be added to a waitlist, please click here.



Refunds/Credits:

There are no refunds. In the event of illness, please inform us at least 24 hours prior and we will credit you for a future class.



You will receive an email at least 2 days prior to the class with information about what to bring, where to go, and what to expect!

Run Kids Run was established in 2008 by We Fit Moms coach Lucie Murray as a way to introduce kids to the running community and assist race directors in creating safe and fun kids activities.

For 12 years, we've worked with local running, triathlon, and cycling events, as well as schools and festivals to produce their kids activities. We've been honored to work with the LA Marathon, Santa to the Sea, Pasadena Triathlon, Santa Monica Venice Christmas Run, and so many more.

When COVID-19 forced the cancellation of sports and recreation events and closed schools, Run Kids Run had to take a back seat too.  But we were never good at sitting still so that's when we decided to Pivot-Pivot-Kick-Ball-Change.

We continue to focus on keeping kids active while they're at home with our new PE @ Home and PE @ the Park programs, as well as our upcoming virtual kids run training program. 

We look forward to getting back to the event world when the time comes and welcome your inquiries about services for your school, festival, or fundraiser. Until then, we'll just keeping pivoting!
